Heroes Of The Storm – Australia Heads To Latin America For The Intercontinental Clash

The best teams from Australia & New Zealand and Latin America are set to do battle in Rio.

The Heroes of the Storm Global Circuit (HGC) is coming back to Latin America this May, with the arrival of an epic competitive face-off between the best players from Oceania and Latin America: the HGC Intercontinental Clash.

Taking place over 12-13 May BRT, the HGC Intercontinental Clash will see the top two teams from HGC Australia & New Zealand’s Premier Division and HGC Copa America, travel to Rio de Janeiro, to determine who will become the first HGC Intercontinental Clash champion; an honour that will not only highlight the winning team as one of the best in HGC, but also will grant them a spot in the upcoming HGC Mid-Season Brawl and a shot at the Brawl’s $250,000 USD prize pool!

Aussie HGC veterans, Mindfreak (formerly known as Nomia), are the first team from the HGC ANZ Premier Division to earn the privilege of competing in Rio, after strengthening their undefeated streak with a 2-0 victory over Downfall Gaming earlier this week. The second spot is still hotly contested, as Crimson Gaming and Outlaws continue to duke it out to see who secures their place on the global stage. Mindfreak and the winner of the second spot will take home the lion’s share of the HGC ANZ Premier Division’s $40,000 AUD prize pool. They’ll face off on day one of the HGC Intercontinental Clash to determine who combats Latin America’s best team on day two.

Taking on English casting duties for the Intercontinental Clash are HGC ANZ Premier League regulars, André “Skimmy” Allchin and Kori “Vandie” Bassi.
