Horizon Call Of The Mountain Has Been Announced For PlayStation VR2

My (Thunder)jaw hit the floor

During their CES 2022 presentation, Sony announced Horizon Call of the Mountian, the first game for the PlayStation VR2.

Following on from the reveal of the PlayStation VR2’s specs, Sony announced that Guerilla Games and Firesprite are currently developing Call of the Mountain, a VR game set in the world of the Horizon series. We don’t have a great deal of information regarding the game itself, the short reveal trailer shows the player making their way through a dense jungle as a towering Tallneck stride past.

Watch the trailer here:

After the presentation, a post on the PlayStation Blog went live, sharing a tiny bit of extra info. When speaking about the game, Guerrilla’s Studio Art & Animation Director Jan-Bart van Beek has this to say:

“Created for PlayStation VR2, this unique experience has been designed to push hardware technology, innovation, and gameplay. The stunning visuals and brand-new PS VR2 Sense controllers give a new meaning to being fully immersed into the world of Horizon. We don’t want to reveal too much just yet, but this story will be told through the eyes of an entirely new character. You will also meet Aloy, other familiar faces, and new characters along the way, and we’ll be introducing you to the protagonist of Horizon Call of the Mountain soon.”
