Horizon Forbidden West Could Take Up Nearly 100GB Of Storage On PS5

Looking this good comes at a cost

The launch of Horizon Forbidden West, one of 2022’a most anticipated games, is less than a month away from its February 18 release. However, if you’re planning on getting around it on day one you better start making room now, with the game reportedly set to take up 96.3GB of storage on PS5.

This information comes from Twitter page PlayStation Game Size, which pulls data from PlayStation’s database. It currently has sizes for the US and EU (which the Australian PSN is part of) version on the game, which interestingly varies by 10GB. It is worth noting that this figure is without any day one patch applied, so hopefully these numbers come down a touch. No information on the sizing of the PS4 version is available.

Given how beautiful and detailed the environments look, it’s not hard to understand why the game would weigh in so heavy. Still, with the PS5’s built-in storage capacity not huge, it does mean that Horizon Forbidden West will eat up a fair chunk of it, so sacrifices will need to be made. Unless you’re rocking an extra internal SSD.

What do you make of Horizon Forbidden West’s PS5 sizing? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
