A new story trailer for Horizon Forbidden West has dropped, giving us our best look at the game’s narrative yet.
In this three-minute look at the upcoming action-adventure sequel, protagonist Aloy explains that the world is suffering from a blight that will soon end humanity. With the answers she needs hiding somewhere in the titular Forbidden West, Aloy must travel to new lands, putting her in the path of the rebel leader Regalla and returning villain Sylens, as well as other, unseen threats.
We also see some familiar faces return, including Varl and Erend, alongside new friends in the form of Zo, Alva, and Kotallo. The entire trailer is gorgeous and showcases a number of new environments and machines that will be present in the game.
