Horizon Zero Dawn Release Date Announced – Delayed Till 2017

Since being revealed at E3 in 2015 not much has been heard about Guerrilla Games’ upcoming PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn.

But after months of rumours and speculation, we finally have a release date and one which confirms the game’s delay into 2017. Horizon Zero Dawn will now release in the US on February 28, 2017, while Australia and Europe will receive the game on March 1, 2017 except for the UK, who will see the game hit shelves on March 3, 2017.

According to Hermen Hulst who posted news of the game’s release date and delay, the reason for the delay is ensure the team at Guerrilla Games can deliver the goods on this ambitious project:

However, we also want to ensure that Horizon Zero Dawn lives up to the visuals and gameplay quality that our games are known for. The new date affords us the extra time required to deliver fully on our ambitious vision for Horizon Zero Dawn.
