Judgment Dynamic PS4 Theme Is Free, Always Judging You

Stop Judgment-ing me

If you’re a PS4 owner with an active PlayStation Plus subscription, a fan of the Yakuza series and love the thought of a pair of judging eyes staring directly into yours whenever you sit down in front of the telly then I have some good news.

Released today on the PlayStation Store for free (if you’re subbed to Plus!), the Judgment dynamic theme features  Takayuki Yagami, the main character of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Yakuza spinoff, set against a smoky yellow and red backdrop. Yagami-San’s face gently rocks back and forth as his hair moves with the waves of smoke and his piercing gaze cuts right into your very soul. Honestly, dude is fine as hell and I have no complaints about that, but I wasn’t prepared for the sudden pan and zoom to the foreground as I switched menus on my console. I wasn’t able to capture it in motion but hopefully the following images illustrate what I’m talking about:

At any rate it’s a neat theme for a very cool upcoming game, and everyone loves free shit, so I can’t complain. If you’d like to grab this one for yourself just head here.

Judgment will release in the West for PS4 this month on June 25th, with digital preorders granting early access on the 21st, available here. Be sure to check back with us for everything Judgment as the month goes on!

Kieron started gaming on the SEGA Master System, with Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy. The 20-odd years of his life since have not seen his love for platformers falter even slightly. A separate love affair, this time with JRPGs, developed soon after being introduced to Final Fantasy VIII (ie, the best in the series). Further romantic subplots soon blossomed with quirky Japanese games, the occasional flashy AAA action adventure, and an unhealthy number of indie gems. To say that Kieron lies at the center of a tangled, labyrinthine web of sexy video game love would be an understatement.
