Of course Lies Of P has had a dose of personal imagination applied to it, overhauling both the protagonist and the NPC’s that inhabit the city of Krat; applying a thick layer of absurdity to its gothic streets.
Care to see Shrek’s thong-wearing puppet mate throw hands against Postman Pat? What about a thrilling bossfight against Dr. Eggman of Sonic the Hedgehog fame? Well, wonder no more true believer, because ToastedShoes on YouTube has you covered and then some.
It speaks a lot to the logic applied to this crazy mod experience that my response to seeing Fiona from Shrek did little more than elicit a sage nod of acknowledgement from me. “Ah, of course” I thought to myself, “Who else would be waiting within the Hotel Krat for our wooden friend.”
And then Professor Oak was manning the reception desk behind her.
The entirety of ToastedShoes’s content is one of madcap modding mayhem – whether it’s randomised gameplay or just bombastic model swaps, you’ll be gazing through a lens of absurdity. At times it is deeply unsettling, but it is endlessly entertaining – just imagine Peter Griffin exploring the world of Sonic Frontiers.

As for the mod itself, ToastedShoes does offer access to his mod library by way of his Patreon – or if you wish to tread the same path of creative craziness, you can always cast a glance over the offerings on Nexus Mods.
As someone who has not yet trod the streets of Lies Of P, this media is currently my only real established canon. Until such time as I play the game, this will live in my mind palace. What a time.
