Lifeweavers Abilities In Overwatch 2 Are Terrifyingly Awesome

He has the power… to move you

We now have a proper look at the amazing abilities that come with our newest, most gorgeous support son – Lifeweaver.

Overwatch 2 will never be the same, and this is far from a bad thing. Lifeweaver comes with the unique ability to manipulate both enemies and allies within the game world by utilising his abilities in creative ways. Take a squiz below at this list:

  • Petal Platform: Generates a pressure-sensitive platform that ascends when stepped on.
  • Life Grip: Shields a targeted ally and pulls them to Lifeweaver’s position.
  • Healing Blossom: Charge a healing burst for your targeted ally.
  • Thorn Volley: An secondary weapon that deals a respectable amount of damage to ward off aggressors.
  • Rejuvenating Dash: Provides a small burst of passive healing while repositioning.
  • Parting Gift (Passive): Triggers upon death and drops a healing item that can be picked up by heroes on both teams.
  • Tree of Life (Ultimate): Heals allies within its perimeter for as long as it remains active, and can be placed anywhere on the map to disrupt sightlines and block chokepoints.

Some of those may be a little interesting to imagine – so we have made a video demonstration for posterity!

The mind reels with the sheer amount of possibilities presented by his petal platform alone. Even from map to map – the ability to lift your friends to new heights is a serious, literal game changer. And that is a single ability. We haven’t even started talking about crazy stuff like using life grip to protect AND drag an ult’ing friendly into the middle of the enemy team.

I can’t imagine a single other character that has such a wide variety of impactful abilities to throw into the mix – Lifeweaver is absolutely a powerhouse and I can’t wait to see him in the hands of truly next-level players.
