March 2026’s PlayStation Plus Essential Games Have Been Revealed

Fore the love of slime

If you dabble in multiplayer or co-op games, you’re likely in for a busy March. Between Marathon, Ghost of Yōtei Legends, and Toxic Commando, there’s a solid mix of different experiences to enjoy with your mates. If those few don’t get your motor running, maybe you’re after something sportier, more monstrous, or more…massive. It’s a laboured intro to this month’s PlayStation Plus article, sorry about that.

As announced on the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Plus Essentials games for March are PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road. All four games will be available on the service on March 3.

Before we get stuck in here, let me preface that I know almost nothing about golf. Now, how good is golf? I’m knee-deep in the WWE 2K series, so I know all about the annualised small changes from year to year, and, by all accounts, this is a winner. This iteration introduces the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, and the Open Championship, giving tenured players even more tournaments in which to challenge themselves. Hit the links, but don’t drive on the green; they don’t like that.

The Monster Hunter series has been around for a hot minute, and it’s seen a great many advancements and innovations over the years. Monster Hunter Rise brought a number of additions, such as the Wirebug, which lets you fling yourself around the place like a mix between Kraven and Spider-Man, and the rideable Palamute Canyne doggo companion. You can get together with up to three other mates to hunt down beasties and turn them into armour sets, to then hunt more beasties, for more armour sets, to then…you get the idea. We had a blast with Rise, whacking a huge 9.5 on our review.

Slime Rancher became a bit of a hit when it launched back in 2017. Something about the sandbox experience that sees you hoovering up different slime varieties just tickles the brain. The sequel builds on the popular foundations while taking the ranch to a new tropical locale. Puzzle about using the smiley slimes, soak in the sunshine, and enjoy the positive vibes.

As far as MMOs go, Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most approachable. Not only is it set in a world that most of us are familiar with, but it also feels like an Elder Scrolls title like Skyrim. You’ve got your clans, you’ve got your raids, and you’ve got your PvP goodness, but if you’re anything like me, you’re in it for the exploration of Tamriel. Over the course of its many years, the game has expanded across the many lands, Skyrim included, and it’s not exactly slowing down. This version gives you access to all the Chapter Zones currently available, making it a great entry point.

If you haven’t downloaded Undisputed, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, you have until March 2 to do so. As always, please remember that you can add these games to your library and download them later if you don’t have any precious space on your hard drive.

Which game will you be downloading first? What games would you like to see in March? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
