A character reveal trailer of a different flavour has dropped today for the ravenous Mortal Kombat 1 enthusiasts – spotlighting the beloved demon-vampire lady of the 3D era, Nitara.
But far more than simply revealing she will be in the game, our fanged friend is actually being played by none other than Megan Fox of Jennifer’s Body fame!
Nitara first debuted in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, bringing a vampiric edge to the roster. Rather than being a wholesale villain, she was more self-serving and morally neutral – a breath of fresh air when you consider most characters within the franchise are either cartoonishly good or evil.
The fanbase wondered if we would have a celebrity appearance within the game, as Mortal Kombat 11 did deliver us a version of Sonya Blade portrayed by Rhonda Rousey. It’s a pretty nifty inclusion, and will lead in nicely to our incoming Kombat Pack characters that will have the talent of people like John Cena and JK Simmons behind them.
And for those of you keeping score at home, this means our boy Adam Ryan is currently sitting at a hefty two out of three correct predictions for our friendly speculation wager. His love for the 3D realm character entries has paid dividends.
Mortal Kombat 1 is essentially right around the corner, so you can get your hands on Megan Fox (…) real soon!
