Mortal Kombat 1 Snagged DMC5’s Music Composer, Bringing Banger Tunes Back To The Series

Drop me a beat to beat my friend to

The Mortal Kombat 1 stress test has wrapped up, and people are positively buzzing with what a good time they had. The gameplay on offer from even a sliver of the titles roster showed some amazing promise, with a ton of depth that went well beyond the spilling of blood – aesthetically, the game proved to be a showstopper. And now people are even more amped up to realise that the series is finally addressing one of it’s long-term sticking points: bang average music.

That, my friends, is a tune. I was already a superfan of the Johnny Cage Mansion stage – but now knowing it comes with a deadset killer backing track I have ascended into an ultrafan. Even the music they have used for the beginning of streams has been excellent, so I am intensely on board with this auditory shift. Bring on the full soundtrack!

Mortal Kombat 1 releases on September 19 2023, with a beta period in August for pre-orders.
