It is funny for all the wrong reasons. Basically, people were keen enough for a free Sub Zero skin – then they heard him speak:
Turns out ol’ mate actually got the opportunity to provide his VOICE to the skin, and players were not ready for it, at all. You can’t be too harsh – the dude is a DJ by trade, not a voice actor – but it’s a bit of a rough trot when you listen to it next to the stellar voice acting of the other MK characters.
Maybe people judged Ronda Rousey’s Sonya a little too harshly?
