In a report from Deadline, The Mortal Kombat reboot sequel finds it’s director in the return of Simon McQuoid. In a time where fight scenes are a flurry of activity that can be hard to see, Simon worked to ensure that the first film displayed a great deal of control in it’s action.
This comes alongside the writing talent of Jeremy Slater, who is putting together the story. Jeremy was credited as the head writer of the Disney+ Moon Knight series, which did a fantastic job of showcasing waaaay out-there characters in a narrative full of bone-shattering action.

I was lucky enough to interview Simon after the film was released, where he showcased the enthusiasm he had for the project – I am genuinely rapt to hear that he is back in the directors chair!
If the first film was his entrée, I am more than ready for the next course to blow me away.
