Alright, ladies and gentlemen, the spooky season is finally upon us. It’s time to bust out the pumpkin spice and put the finishing touches on that Halloween costume you’ve been tinkering with for months. But, above everything else, it’s time to enjoy some scary media. Last month’s PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe catalogue update offered up an entree with Crow Country, which paved the way for this month’s heaping helping of horror.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for Extra and Deluxe members will be updated on October 21, adding eight new titles to these tiers.
PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe
- Silent Hill 2
- Until Dawn (Remaster)
- V Rising
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon
- Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1
- As Dusk Falls
- Wizard with a Gun
PlayStation Plus Deluxe
- Tekken 3
It got top billing, and for good reason. Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2 has gotten the stamp of approval from both fans of the original and newcomers alike, which is a rarity when it comes to beloved entries like this. Bringing the legendary horror game up to modern standards without getting rid of the fog, Silent Hill 2 still manages to pack a punch after all these years. It goes without saying, but if you haven’t played it already, then October is the best time get around it.
