Overwatch 2 Is Bringing Avatar: The Last Airbender To The Battlefield

Immerse yourself in the elemental arts

The next collaboration for Overwatch 2 has been revealed, with Avatar: The Last Airbender coming to the game!

Imagine my surprise when I saw that Appa gets an impressive Orisa skin – now to hope that there is a “Yip yip” voice line:

There are six skins in total, including:

  • Mei as Katara
  • Zenyatta as Aang
  • Orisa as Appa
  • Venture as Toph
  • Genji as Zuko
  • Kiriko as Suki

So while there is no Sokka (a real crime) there is at least a good representation of all the elemental masters and their nations. Uncle Iroh being absent is a shame, but really – there is no-one in Overwatch that could capture his magnificence (and passion for tea). As a neat bonus, the Mei skins is free to players who unlock challenges during the event, so your wallet won’t be under threat.

The Overwatch 2 x Avatar: The Last Airbender arrives on Dec 18, as part of Overwatch 2: Season 14.

Did you expect to see Avatar arrive in Overwatch 2? Do you agree that Junkrat would make an excellent Sokka? Tell us all about it in the comments or on social media.
