If you are keen to play Diablo II: Resurrected, then now could be your chance. Detailed in a blog post by Blizzard:
The war against the Burning Hells is about to enter a new chapter on Windows® PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, and PlayStation®4. Starting August 13 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, longtime fans and new players alike will have a chance to participate in the upcoming Early Access test. Players can take part by pre-purchasing Diablo® II: Resurrected™ or the Diablo® Prime Evil Collection on Windows® PC or eligible consoles or acquire access by watching their favorite streamers on Twitch
In many cases, a preorder to access a beta is the usual in this situation – but having keys available via Twitch drops means that those who aren’t quite convinced they want to re-experience the dread wastes of Diablo can witness the action, and if convinced, stick around for their own chance to play.
It’s also cool to see that this is considered an online beta, so the ability to team up and play with others will be available! A big draw of the original Diablo experience was the added challenge that additional players brought to the game, as each human player would increase the damage and health of enemies within the game world – The forces of Diablo grow stronger!
Two more classes are also now available to play in game, with the Paladin and Druid becoming unlocked; meaning you can now get your holy warrior groove on, or shapeshift your way to slaughter.
If you are keen to check out Diablo II and it’s how new duds without a preorder, make sure to grab those Twitch drops ASAP, as they are limited:
When the Early Access to the Open Beta kicks off on Friday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. (PDT), viewers on Twitch will be able to earn Twitch Drop rewards (Friday-only) by tuning into their favorite streamers on that platform.
Check out your favourite streamer, and I will see you in Sanctuary soon!
Diablo II: Resurrected will be releasing on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X&S, Xbox One, Switch and PC on September 23, 2021.
