Pokemon Sword And Shield – The Isle Of Armour DLC Is Releasing On June 17

Two weeks to polish your Pokéballs for a new adventure

The Pokemon Company dropped a new Pokemon Sword and Shield trailer overnight, that showed us some new footage of the upcoming Isle of Armour and Crown Tundra DLC.

We first get to see our first proper look at Galarian Slowbro (Poison/Psychic), which was previously teased, with tinges of purple and Shelder has clamped onto its arm instead of the tail.

Isle of Armour: We get to see lots of different environment types: grass lands, cave, desert, forest, swamp and ocean areas. We also get to see lots of new returning Pokemon, a weird robot bird device, some sort of Dynamax-related food and a closer look at the sick Gigantamax forms of Venusaur and Blastoise. We also get an in-game look at Kubfu and its evolution Urshifu in its Gigantamax forms.

Crown Tundra: We see a very snowy area, lake-filled mountain area, grasslands with a giant fruit-laden tree, and some Regi-related ruins (with the characteristic braille marks). We also see some of the line-up for the new Legendary Pokemon raids, as well as the two new Regi Pokemon (Regieleki and Regidrago). We also see the Galarian forms of Articuno (Psychic/Flying), Zaptos (Fighting/Flying) and Moltres (Dark/Flying) fighting each other at the large fruit tree.

The Isle of Armour DLC package will be releasing in approximately two weeks on June 17.

The new DLC packs are essentially new wild areas and look like they will have great variety and be really fun to explore! If you pre-purchase the DLC pass from the eShop you will receive bonus outfits for your trainer! Pokemon Sword and Shield are playable now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
