Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed To 2018; New Screenshots Released

Earlier this morning, Rockstar Games announced that their highly anticipated title, Red Dead Redemption 2, has been delayed from its initial release window of 2017 until Autumn (Spring in the USA) 2018. Rockstar stated that the delay is due to requiring additional time to ‘deliver the best possible experience’.

This news is sure to come as a disappointment to a lot of fans, however, we can take solace in the fact that Rockstar Games are one of the best in the business and wouldn’t have made this decision lightly.

You can read Rockstar’s announcement below, or click here to go the official site.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is now set to launch Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.

We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Rockstar also released a new batch of impressive looking screenshots, which you can view below.

How do you feel about the delay? Bummed? Glad? Let us know in the comments below.
