Returnal’s Newest Trailer Focuses On Its Horrifying Enemies

The curtain is slowly being lifted on the roguelike survival horror that is Returnal. The trailers we’ve gotten so far have already given us a glimpse into the game’s story as well as a short look at combat, but this latest trailer has provided the most interesting info so far.

Titled Hostiles, the new trailer does exactly what it says on the tin in introducing a number of the beasts that are present on the surface of Atropos. From mutated, bipedal trees that slow your movement, to organic machines that fire lasers at you, the residents of Atropos are a frightening bunch. Most unsettling of all, it appears as though you’ll come face-to-face with your own tentacle-riddled reanimated corpse, which sounds equally amazing and horrifying. Give the trailer a watch:
