Developer Far From Home has stealth-dropped a free demo for its upcoming sci-fi survival game, Forever Skies, on PS5.
As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, the demo will offer a single-player slice of the game. It challenges players who crash land on an ecologically devastated Earth to explore, craft, and get their all-important airship up and running. The demo clocks in at around an hour of story-based gameplay, with players left to explore the open area once they complete all objectives. Speaking of which, those who manage to work through all the objectives will be rewarded with a PlayStation-exclusive airship cosmetic that can be used in the full version of the game.
We’ve had various opportunities to play Forever Skies, both in preview and early access forms, and we’ve come away positive each time.
In our original preview, we said, “My time with Forever Skies was brief but very enjoyable. A delicious taste of a cake that I am incredibly keen to devour when it finally appears in front of me. If you liked Subnautica, Green Hell, The Forest, Ark: Survival Evolved, Chernobylite or anything similar, you should be very excited for your upcoming adventure.”
Forever Skies is currently in PC early access, and a full release for PC and PS5 is set for early 2025.
