In case you decided to boycott The Game Awards, the next DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros Ultimate was announced during the show as Sephiroth the one winged angel from the Final Fantasy series. This is the second Final Fantasy character in the game following Cloud. I’m pretty sure this addition was a surprise to many, and was not one I saw being predicted often, if at all.

As usual, a livestream with Sakurai covering the DLC fighter in more detail has been scheduled on December 18 at 9am AEDT (6am AWST). This presentation will also include the release date for this character, as we only have a general date of this month for now.
