StarCraft II – Getting Pumped For WCS Valencia

The final European WCS Circuit Event of the year is upon us with WCS Valencia bringing elite StarCraft II play to the Iberian Peninsula beginning 12 July AEST.

Cho ‘Maru’ Sung Choo’s expert Terran play and Joona “Serral” Sotala’s Zerg mastery has seen both of them consistently outperforming their competitors at past events.

Representing the ANZ region, Nicholas “HuT” Hutton and the winner of the WCS Challenger Qualifiers at IEM Sydney, Sheldon “Seither” Barrow are heading to Valencia to disrupt the dominance of their international rivals. Joining them on the ground will be Adelaide’s own Leigh “Maynard” Mandalov, making the long trip over to cast all the action.

With a total $101,000 USD prize pool and 12,600 WCS points up for grabs, we’re sure to see the return of old rivalries and the emergence of new ones as the best of the best collide over three days of intense competition.

That’s not all, if the lion’s share of the prize pool and 3,000 crucial WCS points weren’t enough incentive, the tournament champion also gets a guaranteed slot at the WCS Global Final at BlizzCon.

Be sure to tune in at 9pm Thursday 12 July AEST on to watch all the action unfold.
