Starcraft fans will indeed be seeing the third expansion Legacy of the Void sooner rather than later.
Though previously tagged for a ‘Winter’ release, leaving room open for a launch as late as January or February, it is now confirmed LoTV will release before the end of the year. The confirmation came yesterday from Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Morhaime in a financial earnings call.
While there still isn’t an exact release date for the game, it has been in beta since March, and pre-orders recently opened, granting players access to the beta and a set of prologue missions for pre-purchasing the title.
Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void will follow the alien race of the Protoss, and will be the concluding chapter to the Starcraft 2 games that began with Wings of Liberty in 2010, and then Heart of the Swarm in 2013. (source: Gamespresso)
