Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games have announced that the Mr. X Nightmare DLC for Streets of Rage 4 will hit PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on July 15. While no Aussie pricing has been revealed, the DLC is priced at £5.79, which comes to A$10 and change.
The DLC will bring new characters, moves, music, challenges and a survival mode to the critically-acclaimed beat ’em up. Players will now be able to play as Estel Aguirre, Max Thunder and Shiva. The survival mode will see players fight waves of enemies for as long as they can to earn perks and other rewards. There will also be a leaderboard, so you can how you compare with your mates and other players.
The DLC will also bring free updates to the game, with a training mode, colour customisation and a new Mania+ difficulty.
I reviewed Streets of Rage 4 last year and loved it, scoring it a 1o and saying that “From start to finish, Streets of Rage 4 is a modern celebration of one of the best beat ’em up series of all time.”
