Bandai Namco has revealed Tekken 8 during this morning’s PlayStation State of Play.
The announcement opened the State of Play livestream, making an entrance with an excellent trailer that sees the father-and-son duo of Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima duking it out in the rain. The action-packed battle is very cinematic, with Jin tapping into the Devil Gene to try and put his father away.
A post on the PlayStation Blog delves deeper into this exciting reveal, stating that this trailer is pulled directly from a point in the game’s story mode, running on a PS5. Running at 60fps, this first look isn’t pre-rendered; instead, it’s a semi-accurate representation of what we can expect from a fight in-game, albeit with some added effects and camera angles.
We weren’t given any release information yet, but we know that Tekken 8 will be coming to PS5.
