It’s no secret that Jack Black of Tenacious D fame has partook in the odd bit of video game playing – but according to the newest clip to come from the band, He “don’t play video games no more”. Apart from a little God of War that is. And some Fallout 4.
Red Dead Redemption 2? Well, that ain’t a game – that’s an adult thing. That’s more like Shakespeare.
Well, maybe he still plays some video games – you’d be best to check out the (somewhat gore-filled) video and see the comprehensive list:
Apart from both members of the D being rendered in an incredibly accurate, stylised finesse – a huge amount of classic interactive bangers also sneak in, with each being showcased in their own amazing way. The Sonic the Hedgehog throwback is particularly amazing.
The clip was directed by Adam Paloian who has all the expected credits you’d imagine for such a piece, particularly with his work on SpongeBob Squarepants. But the real talent powerhouse is the incredible Chris “Oney” O’Neill, who you may best know from OneyPlays on YouTube, dropping his signature style all over the clip. Oney has been the driving force of many super crazy animation projects in the past, and we may be seeing some of the best work to ever come from his considerable artistic resources.
Thankfully the song itself is a solid banger, so I wont mind it being stuck in my head.
