Fntastic has released the main theme for its much-hyped upcoming Early Access MMO survival game The Day Before.
Composed by Danish musician Sigurd Jøhnk-Jensen, who has previously worked primarily on film and TV shows including Barbarian, Insidious: The Red Door, and Westworld, as well as lending his talents to the recently-released Mortal Kombat 1.
The four-minute track features epic orchestral compositions that sound full of Hans Zimmer flavours before the good old six-string makes its presence felt. It’s not quite Hans Zimmer meets Joe Satriani, but it certainly does its job of building excitement.
Last week, Fntastic shared a new trailer for The Day Before, showing off some gameplay and mechanics while also announcing that it will now launch in Early Access on December 8 (December 7 global). The was also revealed that as result of Fntastic’s victory regarding its trademark dispute, The Day Before would finally make its long-awaited return to Steam and back to the top of the Wishlist charts.
It’s been a rocky, rocky road for Fntastic and The Day Before. Hopefully as we approach launch, the marketing machine churns out more info and promos to increase the buzz around the game.
