The Gardens Betweens Lands On PS5 On June 16; Free Upgrade For PS4 Owners

The indie hit comes to PS5

Melbourne-based studio The Voxel Agents has revealed that its acclaimed title The Gardens Between is launching on PS5 on June 16.

Announced via the PlayStation Blog, The Voxel Agents director Simon Joslin laid out what players can expect from the game’s release on the PS5, which will be “verdant HDR” and DualSense Controller haptic feedback support. Joslin explains that the haptic features have been designed to immerse players in Arina and Frendt experiences in the gardens. Perhaps best of all the PS5 upgrade will be a free upgrade for PS4 owners of The Gardens Between. The game is currently on sale on the PlayStation Store for $7.48 (down from $29.95), which is set to end on June 9.

Wondering what The Gardens Between is all about? Here’s the game’s PlayStation blurb:

“Best friends Arina and Frendt fall into a series of vibrant, dreamlike island gardens peppered with everyday objects from their childhood. Together they embark on an emotional journey that examines the significance of their friendship: the memories they’ve built, what must be let go, and what should never be left behind.”

In our The Gardens Between review, Kieron Verbrugge scored it a 9, saying “Melbourne studio The Voxel Agents’ debut console game proves that they are already masters of the craft. This is a shining example of what indie games can be.”
