The Last Of Us Part III Is Rumoured To Be Conducting “Major Filming” This Year

Truth or rumour?

The Last of Us Part III is set to conduct “major filming” later this year according to a rumour that has been doing the rounds online.

Twitter user ViewerAnon has shared the rumours (grain, salt – the usual jazz), claiming that The Last of Us Part III is indeed one of Naughty Dog’s next single-player games, with Ellie once again to be a key character in the game.

ViewerAnon furthers their claim in a follow-up tweet where they say that The Last of Us Part III is in development and “Major filming is happening this year.”

Back in late May, a Bloomberg report stated that the upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer game was facing development issues, with many of the project’s developers moving to other projects while Naughty Dog assesses the project. It prompted an indirect response from the Jak and Daxter developer, which tweeted that the project needed more time and the studio was working on other games, including a “brand new single-player experience.”

It’s not the first time that TLOU3 rumours have circulated the internet and I am sure it won’t be the last, and if it is true, it’s likely that we won’t see it for several years.
