HBO has dropped a short teaser for its upcoming TV series adaptation of the PlayStation hit The Last of Us, giving us our first look at the show in action.
The trailer gives us around 20 seconds of footage, showing Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, and Nick Offerman as Bill. We get a brief look at a couple of locales in which Joel and Ellie find themselves, but it’s hard to glean much from the 20-second teaser.
HBO still hasn’t given a firm date on when the show will release, other than that it is “coming next year.”
The Last of Us TV show was first announced in March 2020, with Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmannm and HBO’s Chernobyl writer Craig Mazin helming writing and producing duties. It was rumoured last year that each episode for TLOU could cost more than episodes for Game of Thrones in its final season, which was around US$10 million per episode.
