HBO has announced that the first episode of season two of The Last of Us will premiere on Binge on April 13.
Following a teaser trailer at CES last month that gave us a broad April release window, we now know when to expect the first episode of season two. Three new posters were released alongside the premiere date to build hype for what’s to come, all labelled with the tagline “Every path has a price.” The first two posters depict Joel and Ellie, portrayed by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, respectively, while the third shows newcomer Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever.

The world of The Last of Us is bleak, but those who have played The Last of Us Part II know that darker times are ahead for those watching the show. The seven-episode second season will follow the events of the second game, with Joel and Ellie being joined by several new faces, such as the aforementioned Abby, as well as Dina, played by Isabela Merced, and Jesse, portrayed by Young Mazino.
The first season of The Last of Us was a critical and commercial success, though we were a little more measured in our review, where we gave it a 7 and said, “HBO’s The Last of Us is a faithful retelling of its source material for better or worse. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey excel in this uneven but loyal adaptation of an iconic game.”
