The New PlayStation Store Is Live And It’s A Huge Improvement

Slick and smooth

If you’ve ever needed to jump onto the web-based PlayStation Store you’ll no doubt think that it’s just a little bit outdated and by that I mean ancient. Thankfully those days are behind us, as the new and improved PlayStation Store is now live ahead of the release of the PS5.

More than just a simple refresh, the new store has a completely new layout that’s slightly reminiscent of the store found on the PS4. Everything is far easier to find now and the performance of the site is substantially better, meaning that I don’t have to wait all day to check out a game on my Surface Pro. Another welcome change is the transparency offered for each product. For example, when you’re looking at Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the first thing that you will see are the details that matter most, such as the need for PlayStation Plus to play online, the number of players that can play online at once, the inclusion of in-game purchases and so on. It’s not a ground-breaking addition, but it’s definitely a welcome one.

Lastly, this update brings with it the ability to digitally preorder PS5 games, something that you’re unable to do on the PS4 store. If you want to have a look through the new store for yourself you can do so HERE.

Do you like the new look of the PlayStation Store? Will you be preordering any PS5 games digitally? Let us know.
