A casual little drop from Blizzard today has revealed that the critically enjoyed World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery will enter it’s next phase of content at the beginning of February!

Announced on social media and via the Blizzard news blog, the date of February 8th has been locked in. Being that this is likely a US-coded date, we Aussie battlers may need to consider setting aside some time on February 9th to catch the wave when it crashes.
Not a lot is known about what awaits players in the next phase of content – as mentioned in my previous article the entire purpose of this classic era is to remix and change the game in ways that players do not expect, by hiding all manner of weird and wonderful secrets across the game. New runes and challenges will await; but the most information you will receive is via this blurb from the Blizzard website:
Get ready for Season of Discovery Phase 2, where your adventures will take you from level 25 to 40, reward additional talent points to 31, take on the challenge of Gnomeregan as a new raid dungeon, discover new runes and abilities, and more!
Players hitting level 40 will unlock a crazy amount of new gameplay options, so you better believe the landscape of SoD will be changed forever. I personally feel that the teaser image including a red sky in the Stranglethorn Vale zone might be alluding to something special happening there, but that may just be my speculation neurons working overdrive.
Whatever the outcome, February is going to be a bombastic time for Season of Discovery players.
