The Nominees For The Game Awards 2023 Have Been Announced

And the nominees are…

The nominees for The Game Awards 2022 have been officially announced.

It’s that time of year again when Geoff Keighley bombards us with X posts hyping up the Game Awards and all of the exciting announcements that he has in store. Of course, it’s not all about seeing the first trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (my fingers are crossed, I tell you), it’s about celebrating the marquee releases in 2023. There are 31 categories this year, with Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake II leading the pack with eight nominations a piece, closely followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with seven.

That list is a monster. The competition is pretty tight in some of these categories this year, so it might be an interesting one. The nominees highlight what a banger year 2023 has been for gaming, so regardless of who takes home a trophy, we all come out of the year having played some cracking games, so I guess we win? That’s lame, forget I said it.
