Let’s get one thing straight, I love the design and colour of the PlayStation 5. It’s a topic that has divided the WellPlayed crew and the gaming community alike, but I’m firmly in the camp that thinks it looks sweet.
With that said, I’m a sucker for nostalgic designs and the original PlayStation had an undeniably gorgeous look. So when I spotted this fan-made render on Reddit of a PS5 with the colour scheme of the PS1 I had to admit that it was good looking.
The coloured PlayStation logo on both the console and controller, in particular, takes me back to playing Speed Freaks as a kid. Take a look:
