Rumours have been floating around for a while now as to when Sony will pull the trigger and give us a proper look at their next-gen offering and now we have a date.
Announced early this morning, ‘The Future of Gaming’ event will be taking place on Friday, June 5 at 6am AEST.
A post on the PlayStation Blog describes the event as a digital showcase that will run for a bit over an hour, giving us a first look at games in development for the PS5. The post also states that the games coming to PS5 are from studios both large and small, so an amount of variation is to be expected.

It’s made clear in the blog post that this is the first of a number of updates regarding the PS5, so don’t expect everything at once, but it’s exciting either way.
