The PlayStation DualSense Edge Controller Gets A January Release Date And Pricing Info

PlayStation has announced that the premium DualSense Edge controller will release globally on January 26 for roughly $316.94 (US$199.95).

A post on the PlayStation Blog has confirmed that pre-orders for this new controller will go live on October 25 through select retailers. We don’t have official Australian pricing yet, but the conversion from US$ lets us know it will be a pricey investment. Replaceable stick modules will also be available from January 26, costing you roughly $31.97 (US$19.99).

All of these details come alongside a new trailer for the Edge that runs through the handset’s numerous features, including:

• DualSense Edge wireless controller
• USB braided cable
• 2 Standard caps
• 2 High dome caps
• 2 Low dome caps
• 2 Half dome back buttons
• 2 Lever back buttons
• Connector housing
• Carrying case

Of course, the customisable nature of the controller, from the sticks and back paddles to the multiple profiles, is why we’re all here, but the fact that the Edge will be taking a page out of the Xbox Elite controller’s playbook with a carry case that can charge the controller is a major benefit in my humble opinion.
