The Simpsons: Hit And Run Has Finally Been Remastered… In Dreams

It was to be expected, but it’s already happening so fast. Media Molecule’s utterly fantastic game/creation tool Dreams has become a haven for fan-made recreations of other games. It happened to P.T., it happened to Fallout 4, and now it’s happened to a game that the world has wanted a legitimate remake of for as long as I can remember. I am, of course, talking about The Simpsons: Hit and Run.

Thanks to Dreamer ReivaJKHwe can finally get a taste of what a HD version of Hit and Run might be. It’s not the full thing, of course, and it’s early days but it does feature all of the playable characters and is shaping up pretty damn well! Check out a video below:

As much as I love seeing the brilliant, original creations that people come up with in Dreams, I have to admit that I’m also pretty excited when we get things like this.

Kieron started gaming on the SEGA Master System, with Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy. The 20-odd years of his life since have not seen his love for platformers falter even slightly. A separate love affair, this time with JRPGs, developed soon after being introduced to Final Fantasy VIII (ie, the best in the series). Further romantic subplots soon blossomed with quirky Japanese games, the occasional flashy AAA action adventure, and an unhealthy number of indie gems. To say that Kieron lies at the center of a tangled, labyrinthine web of sexy video game love would be an understatement.
