Two New Pokémon Games Are Releasing In 2022

One Pokémon game isn’t enough in 2022

This morning’s Pokémon Presents presentation started pretty slowly other than the kinda creepy-cute Pikachu behind Masuda, was it CGI or a toy? I’m not sure. The presentation started with a focus on the Pokémon Companies mobile titles: Pokémon Go, Pokémon Masters EX and Pokémon Cafe Remix.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl were next with the Shaymin event being officially added into the game via Oak’s Letter which can be received via Mystery Gift right now.

Pokémon Legends Arceus is also getting a new free update today called Daybreak. This update adds some new quests connected to unusual mass outbreaks that can be full of alpha Pokémon. There is also a Mystery Gift code for 30 ultra, gigaton and jet balls! Enter ARCEUSADVENTURE to claim by March 31.

As the one more thing the Pokémon Company left us with an unusual trailer that turned out to be Pokémon Generation 9! It appears to be inspired by Spain and the Pokémon Company has confirmed that the new games are completely open world! There will be no boundaries between towns and the wider world. The textures on the Pokémon look amazing as well, though you can see the game still needs some polishing.

The new starters look adorable as well. Sprigatito the grass cat, Fuecoco the fire croc and Quaxly the water duckling. The new version names are Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet and both will be releasing worldwide in late 2022.

What did you think of the Gen 9 reveal and which starter do you love right now? Let us know in the comments below or on our social media.
