Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope launched two weeks ago to critical acclaim, and the development studios have been looking to the game’s future. There are three planned DLC expansions for the game, with the first being The Tower of Doom.
The Tower of Doom will see the player venture to Madame Bwahstrella’s multi-dimensional tower in order to save their old friend Spawny. This DLC will launch sometime in early 2023, but there is a caveat; it is exclusive to the Season Pass. There will be more than just content added with this DLC, it will also add a new combat mode aiming to add even more challenge to the game as they progress to the top of the Tower.
The other two DLC expansions are yet to be named, but there are still some details regarding each one:
- DLC 2 will add a new planet to the game, allowing people to explore new and unique environments, and add new enemies to the game. Available mid-2023
- DLC 3 will follow Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Rayman as they explore a “new and mysterious place.” Available late-2023.
It is a bit peculiar that the first DLC is exclusive to the Season Pass, meaning that people that don’t have it will not see new content for close to nine months, but each DLC that has been detailed sounds pretty cool. Rayman finally returning as a DLC character for a Mario spinoff game is wild, but I guess that’s where we are in 2022.
