Warhammer Skulls Fest 2026 Has Arrived, With Warhammer Video Game Reveals Galore

All the Warhammer videogames news you can handle

Warhammer Skulls has once more deliver its incredible bounty of Warhammer gaming news, promising another plethora of interactive gaming goodness to come.

Whether it’s a new title, or a huge DLC – here is the breadth of announcements from Warhammer Skulls 2026.

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy Gameplay

Owlcat games has delivered not just a beta gameplay trailer, but a collector’s edition trailer for those fortunate to be able to afford such a treasure.

Owlcat Games, alongside the launch of the beta, is showcasing a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, narrated by Saro, a sanctioned psyker in your retinue. Become an acolyte of the Inquisition in this grimdark, party-based, story-driven cRPG. Lead investigations, uncover grand conspiracies, master tactical combat, and wage a secret war against heresy.

No release date is set, but man, it must be getting close.

Coming to PC, Xbox, and Playstation 5.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV – Release Date

Even though they won’t allow me in any of the Beta tests, the folks behind Dawn of War IV are content to tease me with a release date – Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV launches on September 17.

Alongside two paid DLCs, The Blood Ravens Story Prologue and AFTERMATH, you can also expect a range of free post-launch content updates, including the return of fan-favourite Crusade mode later this year!

The Commander Edition includes:

  • 3-day early unlock (play starting September 14th)
  • The Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV Digital soundtrack
  • Access to both upcoming paid DLCs (The Blood Ravens Story Prologue and AFTERMATH)

Oh, and there is a 3-day early unlock for people with a you-beaut speccy edition. Fun.

Coming to PC

Total War: Warhammer III – Bhashiva Character Pack

Total War: Warhammer III is still getting DLC addons, and if you are still in the throes of it all you can enjoy the bestial Bhashiva character pack. Tigermen are always cool.

Available now.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch Announcement

As a direct sequel to Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, players can enjoy playing as perhaps the coolest faction in the Warhammer 40,000 universe – the Imperium’s brutal alien-hunters, The Deathwatch.

If you are a big fan of turn-based tactical RPG’s and Warhammer 40k, there’s plenty to like here.

Coming soon.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 Launch Trailer

Oh hey, the other big RPG strategy game that people have been waiting for it out – with Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus allowing you t take control of either the ancient and deathless Necron legions or the techno-religious acolytes of the Omnissiah. That’s basically covering all the major robotic bases in the 40k universe.

Out now on PC, Xbox, and Playstation 5.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster Reveal

Ooh, this is a surprising one – a Skaven-centric 2D platformer. I love those crazy ratmen, so if they can nail a fun little gameplay loop I am sure to enjoy it.

SNEAK SNEAK, KILL KILL.

Coming to PC.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Free Update – Purgation

Great things come to those that wait, and Space Marine 2 players are in for a real treat.

The free Purgaton Update is available now for all PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC players. The update includes a new PvE mission, an update to Siege Mode, and new weapon and long-awaited cosmetic armour goodies to dress up your special space Barbie.

New Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Playable Class

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide players had a positively visceral reaction to getting the Hive Scum class instead of a robot – so I hope those same binaric believers are praising the Omnissiah now. They can finally play as a lobotomised robot soldier man (when it released on June 23).

An episode of FatShark Dev Talk also dropped on YouTube, which you can watch here.

Coming to PC, Xbox, and Playstation 5.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 Demo Announce Trailer

A demo is now available for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, allowing interested parties to obliterate heretics in the name of the Emperor.

Play as Ultramarine Malum Caedo or Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath in this sequel to retro FPS Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun with MORE enemies, MORE weapons, and NEW ways to purge!

You can wishlist Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 and play the brand new demo on Steam.

Coming to PC, Xbox, and Playstation 5 later this year.

Roguelike Warhammer Survivors

Oh snap, I completely forgot about this one. From the brains behind Vampire Survivors comes a Warhammer centric version where you can wipe out swarms of enemies from both the 40k and Age of Sigmar universes. Hell, you can fight enemies on a person’s desk – it is a tabletop hobby after all.

Thrust into a universe of relentless war, become the embodiment of bullet hell in Warhammer Survivors, a fast-paced roguelite survivors game. Play as characters from the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar universes, collect and upgrade iconic weapons and destroy endless swarms of enemies.

Coming soon in 2026 to Xbox, PlayStation 5, Switch 1 & 2, iOs and Android devices.

Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks Console Launch Trailer

The spectacularly chaotic and almost Twist Metal-like experience that is Speed Freeks is now coming to consoles. With crossplay between all the platforms and a brand new level editor, now is a great time to jump in and see why I loved this stupid game.

Out now on Xbox X|S and PlayStation 5

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom

Out of left field – a Boltgun mobile release!? I mean, sure. Why not.

Coming to iOS and Android in 2026.

HELLDIVERS 2 x Warhammer 40,000 Collaboration Trailer

Yeah look, usually I’d be over the moon about something like – but this is one of those goofy “this is a thing that will happen eventually” trailers, not a teaser. There is no indication of what we can expect, no actual look at the content, nothing. It is a pre-teaser teaser. Wake me up when there is something to actually see.

Coming to Xbox X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC later this year.

And with that, another big stonking pile of Warhammer video game news is sorted. With a few surprises and some neato trailers to mull over, another year of digitally interactive grim dark fun awaits us all.

Now, if you will excuse me, I have a Boltgun 2 demo to jump into.

Any particular Warhammer delights catch your eye in the Skulls 2026 showcase? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
