World of Warcraft: The War Within Gets A Hot New Cinematic And A Release Date

Look how far we have come

If you were interested in when you might get to step foot into World of Warcraft’s giant next chapter, the good news is that a release date for World of Warcraft: The War Within has been unearthed alongside a big cinematic trailer that highlights player’s exploits across expansions past – just in time for the new big bad, Xal’atath, to tell us we better be ready.

The War Within marks the first entry in the ambitious new Worldsoul Saga, so August 27 is your day to start experiencing WoW’s newest incarnation. Players who purchased the Epic Edition or the physical collector’s edition, will be able to jump in ahead of the global launch when early access goes live on 23 August as part of the usual benefits of spending a little more coin.

If you are curious about the feature list of The War Within, it’s the usual spread of goodies you’d come to expect – new place to go, new people to meet and a new problem to solve.

  • New Landmass: Khaz Algar
  • New Allied Race: Earthen
  • New Endgame content: Delves
  • Account-wide progression system: Warbands
  • Player progression from level 71-80
  • New class features: Hero Talents
  • Newly adapted flying system first introduced in Dragonflight: Dynamic Flying

The beta is in full swing, and if want a little insider knowledge on the expansion maybe take a squiz at our very own interview with the talented folk working on it via our article here.
