Xbox has announced that it’s partnering with Adidas to release a pair of console-themed sneakers to celebrate Xbox’s 20th anniversary.
Announced on Xbox Wire, this collaboration is bringing gamers and sneakerheads a limited-edition pair of Adidas Originals called the Xbox 20th Forum Tech. The Originals feature the classic Xbox shade of green with black trim, while also sporting translucent detailing that calls back to the OG translucent green console that launched alongside Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2001.
Details on pricing and availability are scarce at the moment, but the Xbox Wire article suggests keeping an eye on Xbox’s Twitter will be the best way to avoid missing out.
This is Xbox’s first collab with Adidas and it looks as though it won’t be the last. James Monosmith, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager, Xbox Consumer Products, stated that “This is just the beginning of our partnership with Adidas, and over the next few months we’ll continue to mark our 20th anniversary by launching additional sneakers inspired by past and present Xbox console generations…”
So if you’re a fan of these retro kicks, you’re in luck, because more themed sneakers look to be on the way.
