Xbox Series S/X Release Date, Preorder Date And Australian Price Revealed

Lid officially lifted!

Well, there you have it folks.

Microsoft has officially lifted the lid on Xbox Series S and Series X pricing, release dates and start dates for pre-orders, including local pricing.

Both consoles will launch on November 10, 2020 with pre-orders opening on September 22.

The Series S will cost $499 AUD / $549 NZD and features the following specs:

  • 4 Teraflops of power
  • 1440p gaming at up to 120fps
  • 512GB custom NVME SSD

The Series X, meanwhile, will go for an eye-watering $749 AUD / $799 NZD and is as follows:

  • 12 Teraflops of power
  • True 4K gaming/8K ready, up to 120fps output
  • 1TB Custom NVME SSD

Microsoft also broke the news that EA Play, the publisher’s game subscription service, will soon be rolled into Game Pass at no extra cost:
