Zero Latency Is Celebrating Three Million Plays With A Huge VR Competition

Kill zombies, win big

Virtual reality experience company Zero Latency has announced a worldwide VR competition, Champions of the Undead, from August 10 until September 6.

Celebrating three million global plays across over 70 locations in 26 countries, the Champions of the Undead competition is a partnership with VIVE that looks to crown a zombie-slaying champion. By heading into a Zero Latency location, which can be found in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Parramatta, Perth, the Sunshine Coast and Sydney, hopeful players will take part in the Undead Arena game, looking to set the highest score possible.

The players with the highest score from each region will then be flown to Sin City itself, Las Vegas, to take part in the grand final on October 5. The overall winner will go home with $15,000 US, which converts to roughly $23,000 AUD, with runners-up being awarded a VIVE XR Elite VR unit.

I enjoy flailing around in Beat Saber or throwing dudes around in Synapse, but I don’t think I have the sharp-shooting skills to take on the challenge. But hey, if you’re over 18 and want to know more about the Champions of the Undead competition, you can head on over to the Zero Latency website for details.

Will you be throwing your virtual hat in the ring? Have you ever tried a Zero Latency experience? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
