The Mortal Kombat reboot sequel has wrapped filming and is apparently so far along that people are seeing test screenings for the film – so the odd leak has started to pop up online. Of course, litigation experts are rapid to quell and delete these snippets of spoilerisms before they become widespread – but ever the troll and passionate co-creator of the Mortal Kombat mythos, Ed Boon can’t help but get himself a slice of that fun pie.
Dropped on his social media with the magnificent hashtag of “#BoonLeaks”, Eddy boy claims to have pinched producer Todd Garner’s phone to drop the following image of the Edenian princess, Kitana:
I recently saw a (unfinished cut) screening of the Mortal Kombat 2 movie. During the screening I broke into @Todd_Garner 's phone, found this image from the film, and send it to my phone.

With iconic fan on display, we can see that the outfit and weapon has the signature navy blue and gold tones that the lady ninja is well known for. We can also see that the outfit is more on the practical side, suitable for kombat and less so for the bikini portion of the talent show – like in some previous versions of the game.
We can’t see Adeline Rudolph’s face, but I’d assume the actress will look stunning in the role. Or perhaps the head is entirely missing, as that is also something quite common in the world of Mortal Kombat shenanigans. “Fatality” and what not.
Given the film is doing a run of test screenings and is quite far off its 2025 release, we may be able to expect a trailer at some point before the end of the year. Hopefully Kitana appears within it, so we can get to the bottom of whether her head is missing or not.
