A Limited Edition Spider-Man 2 PS5 Console, DualSense Controller And Face Plates Have Been Revealed

Web swing straight into my living room

Sony has revealed a limited edition Marvel’s Spider-Man 2-themed PS5 console, as well as a themed DualSense controller and face plates, all of which will release on September 1.

As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, the console bundle includes a disc-based PS5 console, complete with the themed face plates, a limited edition DualSense controller and a digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The console looks pretty slick, with the vibrant Spidey-red colour we know and love present at the bottom right-hand corner, alongside the iconic white spider logo. In keeping with the story being told in the game, the face plates also depict the black Venom symbiote taking sprawling over the console. It’s a pretty rad design that’s mirrored on the DualSense controller, except the spider logo is front and centre on the touchpad.

Those who already own a PS5 and don’t want to go through the hassle of trading in their current hardware will be able to purchase the face plates separately for both the disc-based and digital PS5 consoles. The console bundle, face plates and DualSesne controller will be available to pre-order from July 28, though no specific retailer information has been revealed at this stage.

This announcement dropped alongside a new trailer for the game, and while it’s short, it packs in a load of story details and cool action.
