Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Story Trailer Is Full Of New Faces, Old Friends And Fanged Foes

We are going to heal the world

With San Diego Comic Con in full swing, our cup runneth over with all manner of amazing comic content.

This includes the incredible Story Trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, showcasing what we can expect from the next massive chapter of Insomniac’s Spidey-story.

The trailer revels in celebrating the amazing relationships in Peter Parker’s life – before swiftly showing us that the sinister influence of the fabled symbiote suit is going to throw a wrench into all of them. Harry Osborne finally debuts within the series as more than a pre-recorded voice, explaining that with his recovery he has been given a second chance to ‘heal the world’. We also get a peek at Miles discovering a very dishevelled Martin Li, prompting a vengeful statement from the newest Spider-Man – Li of course was responsible for the death of his father. And Mr. Negative isn’t the only villain appearing – we get a rapid montage of cuts showing off some of the new threats that have arrived in New York City – such as a very angry looking Lizard.

Then of course, we see Venom in action – casually tearing his way through a helicopter and dropping a very similar catchphrase to what Harry mentioned earlier. Foreshadowing much?

It all looks incredibly stellar, and gorgeous in action. October is not far off now, but I am hungry – for spiders.
