THQ Nordic has released gameplay footage for the upcoming wrestling game AEW Fight Forever at Gamescom 2022.
During a panel hosted by THQ’s Markus Nitter and AEW stars Evil Uno and Colt Cabana, a complete, 10-minute match was shown off, giving us our best look at gameplay yet. Pitting Adam Cole against Kenny Omega, the gameplay looks like the wrestling games of old, like WWF No Mercy, with stylised character models hitting over-the-top moves focusing more on the action and less on realism.
We get a good look at standard moves and movement, as well as the game’s momentum system that, when earned by a player that hits consecutive moves, will be able to bust out signature and finisher maneuvers. To that end, we get to see Adam Cole hit the Boom and, of course, The Cleaner finish up the match with a One Winged Angel.

No release date has yet been given, but we know that AEW Fight Forever will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Switch.
