Aloy’s Journey Continues With Horizon Forbidden West On PlayStation 5

While it was clear that a big PlayStation 5 game reveal live stream couldn’t go ahead without some serious first party representation, seeing something as massive as a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn come up on-screen was still a killer moment.

Horizon Forbidden West, which is a kick-arse title if you ask me, sees Aloy on a brand-new adventure as she travels west across post-apocalyptic America only to discover a new threat to both mankind and the world itself. The trailer doesn’t divulge too much detail, but it almost seems like this new enemy is more biological in nature than in the first game, though there are still plenty of machines to contend with (including some very cool-looking new ones). Check the trailer out below:

No date for this one yet, but here’s hoping its not far off.

Kieron started gaming on the SEGA Master System, with Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy. The 20-odd years of his life since have not seen his love for platformers falter even slightly. A separate love affair, this time with JRPGs, developed soon after being introduced to Final Fantasy VIII (ie, the best in the series). Further romantic subplots soon blossomed with quirky Japanese games, the occasional flashy AAA action adventure, and an unhealthy number of indie gems. To say that Kieron lies at the center of a tangled, labyrinthine web of sexy video game love would be an understatement.
